Yes. Every good frame from your session goes into a private watermarked preview gallery within 48 hours, or 24 hours for Classic Joy and Full Joy, and you choose your own favourites from it. Please choose within a day so the delivery promise holds.

How much do Toronto holiday mini sessions cost in 2026?

Until 31 October, Mini Joy is $325 for 20 minutes and 10 edited images, Classic Joy is $495 for 30 minutes and 20 images, and Full Joy is $875 for 60 minutes, 40 edited images and every raw file. All prices include tax. From 1 November the final prices are $375, $545 and $950.

Where do the holiday mini sessions take place?

At Mint Room Studios and Preto Loft in Toronto, across 31 dates from 3 October to 20 December 2026. Eleven rooms are used across the season and each date has its own designed holiday set.

What should we wear for holiday photos?

Coordinate rather than match. Choose three shades and dress the whole family inside them, favour texture over pattern, and skip neon, large logos and all-white on a light set. A full styling guide built around this year's actual sets is sent to every client with their booking confirmation.

Can we bring our dog to a holiday mini session?

Yes. Pets are $50 and included free with the Full Joy package. Let us know when booking so the day can be scheduled around it.

Each date has its own designed set, and its rooms are listed with it. On the busiest days more than one room is dressed, so a single date can offer a choice of backdrop — and the best ones go first.

Can I get a refund?

Sessions are non-refundable — but they’re fully transferable. Send us the name of whoever’s taking your slot and we’ll handle the rest.

How do I pay, and can I move my session?

In full when you book, online — that’s what holds your slot. A date change is $75, with two weeks’ notice and subject to a comparable slot. Inside 48 hours, or a missed session, the slot is forfeited.

Can I book a December date now?

Yes — and you pay the price on the day you book, not a December price. Booking a December date today costs the same as booking an October one today. December has only nine dates and six of them are weekends, so it is the month most likely to sell out.

What if we have more people than the package allows?

Extra people are $25 each, added when you book. Mini Joy fits six, Classic Joy eight, Full Joy ten. Please tell us in advance so we can light for the group size — and if you’re bringing seven or more, Classic Joy is usually the better value anyway.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes — $50, paid at the studio, and included free with Full Joy. Let us know when you book so we can schedule you sensibly in the day.

My toddler won’t cooperate — is that a problem?

They usually don’t, and it’s usually fine. We’ve photographed hundreds of families and we shoot around it. Come fed, come a little early, and bring a snack. If your child takes a while to warm up, book the thirty or the hour rather than the twenty.

We understand that photo sessions, especially with little ones, can be a bit overwhelming. That’s why we take care of everything—from posing guidance to creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We’ll keep things light and enjoyable, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and looks their best!
Based on our experience, kids can be unpredictable, and that’s completely normal! To help keep things running smoothly, we recommend bringing someone along to assist—whether it’s to adjust your outfit, fix your hair, or get those genuine smiles from your little ones. Having an extra pair of hands can make a big difference. And don’t worry if your child isn’t in the mood—we’ve worked with many families and know how to create a relaxed, fun atmosphere to capture beautiful shots, even in those tricky moments. If your helper wants to join in the photos, we can always add them in for a small fee on the day!
Our packages allow for up to 4 adults and 6 children, depending on the option you choose. Need to add more? You can add extra adults or children for CA$30-60.
Yes! Pets are welcome for an additional CA$50, payable at the studio. Let us know if you're bringing your furry friend to prepare the set.
Yes! The Deluxe, Premium, and Ultimate packages allow for 1-2 outfit changes. If you’d like to add more, additional changes are available for CA$40. The reason for this fee is that outfit changes require extra time to manage, and it adds complexity to ensure all the images are captured within the session. Plus, you'll receive more edited photos due to the increased variety, so we allocate more editing time to deliver the best results!
Yes! You can opt for the Image Non-Usage option for CA$40, which ensures your photos will remain private and won’t be used in any promotional materials or shared on social media. The reason for this fee is that our business typically relies on showcasing client photos for marketing. When opting out, we respect your privacy and forgo a valuable promotional opportunity, which is why we charge this fee.
We understand that life happens—whether it’s due to illness, car trouble, or other unforeseen events. If you need to reschedule, a CA$75 fee will apply to cover the cost of reserving the studio and the photographer’s time. You’ll be able to choose from our remaining available slots, and if we can’t fit you in this year, the rescheduling fee will be collected, and the rest of your session fee will be held as a credit for future use. We’ll do our best to accommodate you!
You’ll receive an email with a link to your online gallery within the delivery timeframe specified in your package. The gallery will remain active for 1 year from the day you receive the photos. We encourage you to download them, as they will be automatically deleted after 1 year. If you’d like to keep the gallery active beyond 1 year, you can purchase our extended online storage option for $50 (taxes included), which covers hosting fees for an additional year (2 years total)
