Planning your session

When Is the Perfect Time?

The ideal window for maternity portraits is between 28 and 33 weeks — when your bump is beautifully defined and you're still comfortable enough to enjoy the experience. But every pregnancy is different, and we tailor our guidance to you.

Weeks 14–20

Book Your Session

This is the time to reach out and secure your date. Popular months fill quickly, and booking early gives us time to plan every detail together.

Weeks 24–27

Plan & Prepare

We'll finalize your vision during a consultation — your preferred location, the mood you're going for, and any personal touches you'd like to include. All you'll need to do on the day is arrive.

Weeks 28–33

Your Session

The sweet spot. Your bump is full and round, you still have energy, and we can capture the true beauty of this stage. This is when the magic happens.

Carrying twins? We recommend scheduling a bit earlier, around 24–28 weeks.

Past 34 weeks? It's not too late. Reach out and we'll find the right approach for your body and your timeline.

A Session Designed Around You

This isn't a rushed 30-minute shoot. It's a thoughtfully guided experience — from the moment you inquire to the moment your finished portraits arrive at your door.

The Consultation

We start with a conversation. Before anything else, we get to know you — your aesthetic, your comfort level, who you'd like to include. We'll discuss location and the overall feel of your session so that every detail is intentional.

Your Session

Guided, unhurried, and entirely yours. Whether we're in the studio or outdoors in one of Toronto's most beautiful settings, we'll direct every pose and capture every angle. Bring your partner. Bring your kids. Bring your dog. We'll make space for all of it.

The Reveal & Your Heirlooms

This is where your images come to life. Two weeks after your session, we'll meet to view your gallery together. You'll choose your favourites, and we'll guide you through our album, print, and wall art collections — so your portraits live where they belong: in your home, not on a hard drive.

Your role is simple: be close to her. Hold her. Look at her the way you do when nobody's watching. We'll guide every moment — where to stand, where to place your hands, when to lean in. There's nothing to memorize and nothing to perform.

As for what to wear: think classic and understated. Neutral tones, clean lines, well-fitted. We'll send you a detailed style guide after you book so there's no guesswork.

Our maternity sessions are more than time behind a camera. Your investment includes a pre-session consultation, fully guided posing and creative direction throughout your session, and a private viewing appointment where you'll select your favourite images and heirloom products.

Sessions begin at $325

Every family's order is different. Some choose a single statement piece for their wall. Others build a full album and print collection. During your viewing appointment, we'll walk you through every option so you can choose what feels right for your home and your budget.

Maternity + Newborn Bundle

Planning to document both chapters? When you book your maternity and newborn sessions together, you'll receive 10% off your total investment. Most of our clients choose this route — and they tell us it's one of the best decisions they made during their pregnancy.

We recommend reaching out during your second trimester to secure your preferred date. Our calendar fills 2–3 months ahead, especially during peak seasons (spring and fall). That said, we do accommodate last-minute bookings when availability allows.

Absolutely — and we encourage it. We'll dedicate a portion of the session to family portraits and a portion to solo portraits of you. If you have a toddler, we'll keep things relaxed and work with their energy, not against it. Pets are welcome too.

You don't need to be. That's our job. We guide every pose, every angle, every expression. Our clients consistently tell us they've never felt more beautiful in photos than they did during their maternity session — and many of them said the same thing you're thinking right now before they booked.

Yes — you'll want to plan your outfits in advance. After booking, we'll send you a detailed style guide with recommendations on colours, fabrics, and silhouettes that photograph beautifully at this stage. We suggest bringing two to three options so we have flexibility on the day. Think flowy fabrics, soft neutrals, and fitted pieces that celebrate your bump.

We monitor the forecast closely and will reach out 24–48 hours in advance if weather looks uncertain. If conditions aren't ideal, we'll reschedule to the next available date at no additional cost. Your comfort and safety always come first.

Rather than delivering hundreds of unedited files, we present a curated gallery of 30–40 finished images at your viewing appointment. Every image is individually retouched and colour-graded to our signature style. You'll then choose which images to include in your final products.

Your private viewing appointment takes place approximately two weeks after your session. Final product delivery depends on what you order — prints and digital files are typically ready within 1–2 weeks, and albums within 1–2 weeks.

Yes, and most of our clients choose this option. Bundling both sessions ensures continuity in style and quality across both chapters, and it comes with 10% off your total investment. We'll plan your newborn session date tentatively during your maternity consultation and confirm once your baby arrives.
