How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking 4–6 weeks ahead, especially during peak seasons (spring and fall). Our calendar fills up quickly during October and November for holiday card sessions.

How long does a family session last?

Most family sessions run about 60–90 minutes, depending on the package and how many outfit changes or locations you'd like.

Coordinate, don't match. Pick 2–3 complementary colours and dress everyone within that palette. Neutral and earthy tones photograph beautifully.

My kids won't sit still — is that a problem?

Not even a little. We're experienced with kids of all ages and temperaments. We use games, prompts, and a relaxed approach that meets kids where they are.

Can we bring our dog?

Absolutely — we encourage it. Pets are part of the family and we love including them in sessions.

What if it rains on the day of our outdoor session?

We monitor the forecast closely and will reach out 24–48 hours in advance. We'll reschedule to the next available date at no additional cost.

How soon will we see our photos?

Your online gallery will be ready within 2–3 weeks of your session.

Can extended family join the session?

Yes — grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins — the more the merrier. We'll structure the session to capture every grouping.

Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes, we offer seasonal mini sessions throughout the year — typically in spring, fall, and winter.

My approach is relaxed and unhurried. I give you prompts, not poses, so the photos feel natural and alive. Expect to walk, play, snuggle, and laugh — the camera will catch the rest.

What should we wear to our family session?

I recommend soft, coordinating tones rather than matching outfits â think creams, taupes, dusty blues, sage, and warm neutrals. Avoid busy patterns and bright logos. After booking, you'll receive a detailed style guide with specific inspiration to help you choose the perfect looks.

What if the weather is bad on my session day?

Light overcast days actually make for beautiful, soft lighting! If there is heavy rain or extreme weather, we'll reschedule at no extra cost. I'll always keep you updated and we'll work together to find a perfect alternate date.

How many photos will we receive?

The Essentials package includes 20+ fully edited images, The Experience includes 35+, and The Collection includes 50+. All images are delivered as high-resolution files through your private online gallery within 2 weeks of your session.

Do you travel for sessions outside Toronto?

Yes! I regularly photograph families throughout Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, and the surrounding GTA. Travel within 30km of downtown Toronto is included. A small travel fee applies for locations further out.

What's the best time of day for outdoor sessions?

Golden hour â the hour before sunset â offers the most beautiful warm, soft light and is my favourite time to shoot. Morning sessions right after sunrise are also lovely. I'll recommend timing based on your chosen season and location.
