Light overcast is genuinely good light, so most grey days go ahead. Heavy rain, we reschedule at no cost.
Outdoors we shoot at golden hour — the last hour or two before sunset — when the light is warm and forgiving. Studio sessions are not weather-dependent, so timing is flexible. We’ll suggest the right window for your season and location.

How soon will we see our photos?
Your fully edited gallery is delivered within one week of your session — the portrait, studio and extended sessions alike. You’ll get a link to a private online gallery where you can download, share and order prints directly.
Who will actually photograph us?
Vithu photographs every family session. You get the same photographer each time you book, rather than whoever a studio happens to assign — which is why returning families find the second and third sessions easier than the first.
How many photos will we receive?
Up to 20 edited photos with The Portrait Session, up to 30 with The Studio Session, and up to 60 with The Extended Session. Every image is individually edited and delivered in your private online gallery.

My kids won’t sit still — is that a problem?
That is normal and we are built for it. We use games, prompts and patience rather than asking anyone to hold a pose. Some of the best frames come out of the moment right after everything falls apart.
What should we wear to our family session?

Creams, taupes, dusty blues, sage and warm earth tones all photograph beautifully. Avoid large logos, neon and busy patterns. What if the weather is bad on our session day?
Light overcast is genuinely good light, so most grey days go ahead. If there is heavy rain or severe weather we reschedule at no cost. We watch the forecast and will be in touch before you have to wonder.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes — dogs are family. It helps to have a second adult who can take the lead for a few of the frames, but we will get lovely photographs with them included.
Do you travel for sessions outside Toronto?
Yes. We regularly photograph families in Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill and across the GTA. Travel within 30 km of our Scarborough base is included; beyond that a small travel fee applies.
What’s the best time of day for outdoor sessions?
Golden hour — the hour or so before sunset — gives the warmest, softest light and is our favourite time to shoot. Just after sunrise is lovely too. We’ll recommend a window based on your season and location.
